Hi, I’m Kai, the founder of Hairloom. For years, I used the same hair curlers everyone else did - the ones that promised salon curls but left my hair dry, damaged and never quite right. No matter what I tried, the curls would drop, my ends felt fried and styling felt like way more effort than it should be.

Eventually, I realised the problem wasn’t my hair, it was the tools. Most curlers rely on excessive heat and outdated design, and so many people just accept damage and frustration as “normal.” Once I started researching and testing alternatives, I knew there had to be a better way.

So I set out to create hair curlers that actually work - easy to use, gentler on hair and capable of delivering long-lasting curls without the stress. I wanted them to feel effortless, look beautiful and be genuinely worth the money. It took time, testing and a lot of refining, but we got there.
